What is blockchain for movies?
Blockchain for movies (BFM) is a website created by Antonio Peláez Barceló.
He’s a journalist with over 20 years of experience in the film and finance industry.
In this website, he’ll publish reports, stories, news, about what has been done and what’s happening around the media and film industry in relation with blockchain technologies: cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, NFTs, etc.
Glossary GLOSSARY
Bitcoin
The first cryptocurrency, created by Satoishi Nakamoto in 2008. It's based on DLT, cryptography and traceability.
Blockchain
A ledgered chain of blocks, which registers each transaction. The name didn't appear until 2015.
DAO
Decentralized Autonomous Organization. A co-op for cyberspace based on blockchain, which allows voting and decision-making within is members.
Ethereum
Cryptocurrency created by Canadian Vitalik Buterin that allows smart contracts.
Smart contract
Pieces of code similar to contracts in real world. If the condition in the smart contract happens, then it's executed without lawyers or notaries.
Traceability
Characteristic of any blockchain, in which no block can be edited or erased. This way, all transactions are recorded and with smart contracts the users can trace any transaction or token.
